hard drive restore

I received the PC-Wizard disk and got confused as what to do. All I was looking for was a total
wipe and format where I could install another OS.. All the other disk info was a waste of time
trying to figure it out for what I needed. At present my hard drive is still in the boot error mode..
Do you have any thoughts on this ???
